In an old town district of Bangkok, there was a public park ‘Rammaneenart’ which used to be area of prison about 100 years ago and have conserved some building to create museum but they are old-fashioned and lack of maintenance thus there is a few attractions. Inspiration of project is re-manipulate old building and free space to increase benefits and values for local people, expand participate with public area and create a new experience hotel for traveler, it has become ‘Hotel Chance’, 2nd chance for new space.

‘Light at the end of the tunnel’ is main concept of project. Existed building and material conservation, light which pass through voids and contrast of color are designed for represent hope and chance idea. Zoning is divided into 3 main sections, public and semi-public area can approach from main road and park consist of lobby, which converse design store from a prisoner products, gallery, restaurant, banquet room, courtyard and coffee shop , private area consist of 2 types rooms in total with 46 rooms, swimming pool, bar and library.

Hotel Chance is the proposal for thesis project for BA interior architecture degree.
